Documentation

1. Create a portal

Pick a subdomain in the dashboard. Your board is served immediately at yourname.lvh.me:3010.

2. Activate it

Fider emails the address you gave a one-time link. Clicking it sets your administrator password and opens the board to the public. Until then the board exists and is reserved, but shows “Pending activation” — the dashboard reports that honestly rather than claiming it is ready.

If the email has not arrived, check spam first; the dashboard has a button to re-check activation status.

3. Use your own domain

Add a CNAME from a subdomain of your site to your portal, then set the same hostname in the portal’s own admin settings so Fider recognises it.

feedback.yourproduct.com. CNAME yourname.lvh.me:3010.

What runs underneath

Your board is a Fider tenant. Fider is open source under the AGPL-3.0 and we run the published container unmodified — no fork, no patches. Altix provides the account, the billing, the hosting and the domain routing around it.

That is deliberate, and it is also your exit: because nothing upstream is modified, your data lives in an ordinary Fider instance that you could run yourself.

If billing lapses

The board stops being served and visitors see a short notice instead of an error page. Your content is not deleted while the account exists, and paying brings the board back without any further steps.
